Banff National Park (Climbers)

One of our favorite hikes in Banff and one of our top ten of all time, is the the trek up to Sentinel Pass. A hike that will burn permanently in your mind, no matter how many trails you’ve hiked in your life. The trail isn't easy, but it’s worth every step, as your views are amazing from start to finish. If you’re ever visiting the area, it’s highly recommend to take the day to make the effort to get to Sentinel Pass … You won’t be disappointed.
When we finally ascended the pass and sat down for a some of food, water and relaxation, someone from our group pointed out that a few rock climbers where hiking up a rock pinnacle on the other side of the pass. I quickly pulled out my 2x extender and put it on my 70-200 and had a close up shot of the climbers making the trek up to the top of the rock. This one is one of my favorites from the series of images I captured as one of the hikers makes their way up the face. More from the series to come in future posts.
