Bear Grass and Bird Women Falls (Glacier N.P.)

The beargrass (Xerophyllum Tenax) wildflower that was in bloom during our trip to Glacier National Park was something that really impacted more than we ever expected. We knew we had a good chance to see it in bloom, but we didn’t really know what to expect. And when we finally got to experience it during our hike along Highline trail, it was breathtaking. Its combination of size and soft, fuzziness really made us stop, observe and enjoy its beauty, at many points along the trail.
In this scene, we came across several larger ones in a spot along the trail that included a view across the valley of Bird Women Falls and its surrounding peaks (Mount Oberlin, Clements Mountain and Mount Cannon).
