Lower Yosemite Falls
Yosemite National Park will always have a piece of my heart, as it was the first national park I fell in love with. When I visited Yosemite as a young adult and first set eyes on that amazing valley and those massive granite cliffs, it instantly etched a warm, loving feeling within my heart that I knew would last a lifetime.
Many years after that first visit, we took the short hike/walk up to lower Yosemite Falls with one of my best friends and his family. He’s an active hiker and explorer of any location we visit and on this day, he was doing just that. He went directly off the path and up the rocks of the flowing water. And while he was exploring, I scrambled off the path myself and up a few boulders to compose a better scene of the strong flowing water of Lower Yosemite Falls. As I was photographing the waterfalls, I noticed him starting to cross the boulders, so I waited for him to pause for a moment and snapped the almost second long shutter. And thus captured another adventure type image of my good friend.
