Moraine Lake Sunset Beams of Light

Evenings at Moraine Lake are magnificent, as the side lighting into the lake and ten peaks is a beautiful sight to see and something you should always try and enjoy if you ever visit this part of the world.
 
On this day, the clouds were heavy throughout much of the morning and afternoon and it didn’t look like it was going to clear for sunset. But, we kept our fingers crossed and packed up some nice cheese, crackers and beverages (can’t commit to what that beverage were) and made the drive up to Moraine Lake anyway. Because why not, you never know what will happen, plus it would still be a nice relaxing time on the rock pile in one of the most beautiful places in the world. As we were arriving the clouds were starting to break up and sun rays were beginning to make it through the heavy cloud cover. The night went from not sure what was going to happen to breathtaking … So, we sat back and watched the light show and enjoyed the magnificent view.
