Moraine Park Sunset (Rocky Mountain N.P.)
We arrived at Rocky Mountain National Park in the late afternoon and I knew I wouldn’t have much time to capture the sunset. So, I planned on photographing it from Moraine Park (near the campground) and using Big Thompson River within the scene.
And when the light finally exploded onto the clouds, I was set up near an interesting section of the river, where I was using it as my foreground. I was using my 6-stop CPL Breakthrough filter to capture the quickly changing light with 5-second exposures, to create some motion within the fast moving sky and water.
