Shenandoah Autumn Burst

Shenandoah Autumn Burst

Shenandoah National Park is a beautiful part of the country to visit anytime of year, but it really shines during the autumn months, as the hillsides explode in shades of oranges, yellows, reds and even some purples. This section of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range is a must see if you’re ever in the Mid-Atlantic region during the month of October.
This is one of those areas of the world, that during this time of year, you really can point your camera in any direction and capture autumn in your view finder. And although I love the wide, pano type image of the area, I find that small sections of the whole gives you more depth to the scene, so I spent most of my time with my 70-200 mm lens on my camera as I photographed the colorful mountain range around us (for example, my lens is at 200mm for this particular image).
