Tuscan Castle

Orvieto is one of the most beautiful hillside towns in all of Italy. It’s old world charm (and delicious wine) keeps you wanting more as you wander through the alleyways of this wonderful stop along your tour of the Tuscany region. 
I found some of my favorite views of this area along the towns outskirts, on a section of the outer wall that was elevated to some of adjacent hillsides. Such as in this image of an old world Italian castle, surrounded by its ancient olive groves. And when we stumbled into these amazing scenes, it reminded us to make sure to explore everywhere within these amazing hillside town, including the surrounding walled areas, as that brought us some of the most spectacular classic countryside views of Italy.
